SMARTCAL-LITE  DOWNLOAD  & VERSION CHANGELOG PAGE

SmartCAL-Lite Ver 1.0: Released 20 July 2024 Major Changes: - Revised all interpolation formulas using the INDEX and MATCH functions. This enhancement significantly improves the stability and flexibility of the formulas especially when dealing with data tables that have unequal intervals. The changes ensure more accurate and reliable data retrieval and manipulation, accommodating variations in data spacing and providing a robust solution for complex data calculation. - The program has been optimized compiled to the highest level to improve overall stability, despite its large size due to extensive data sets, hundreds of worksheets, formatting, complex formulas, VBA, UserForms, and more. This ensures efficient performance and reliability even with substantial data and functionalities. Grain Calculation Forms: - Added NCB Grain Stability Calculation Forms. When all the data have been entered in the Hydrostatic Table, Compartment and Tanks Data, Compartment Heeling Moment Table, and Maximum Allowable Heeling Moments Table, you can now enjoy the ease of entering and selecting the required fields in the Cargo Input userform to automatically compute the cargo figures and other grain stability calculations. To set up the compartments/holds in the form, simply select the number of holds using the provided menu. You can choose between 9 Holds to Free form (no compartment). You can save/store the current condition locally and restore/import it if needed using the provided listbox to serve as your database system. - Added AMSA Grain Stability Calculation Forms. When all the data have been entered in the Hydrostatic Table, Compartment and Tanks Data, Compartment Heeling Moment Table, and Maximum Allowable Heeling Moments Table, you can now enjoy the ease of entering and selecting the required fields in the Cargo Input user form to automatically compute the cargo figures and other grain stability calculations. You also have the flexibility to either use/override "C" or "V" or use the default settings to automatically identify the centers in the Upsetting Moment. To set up the compartments/holds in the form, simply select the number of holds using the provided menu. You can choose between 9 Holds to Free form (no compartment). You can save/store the current condition locally and restore/import it if needed using the provided listbox to serve as your database system. - Added CALCULATION OF STABILITY FOR VESSELS LOADING BULK GRAIN Calculation Forms. Ship Data & Hydro Sheet: - Added Keel Thickness Correction Setup Assistance. This utility assists in correctly entering and implementing whether the correction will be applied to the Quarter Mean or Corrected Drafts. Additionally, it helps generate the Drafts for the Hydrostatic Table sheet based on the desired Starting, Intervals, and Max Drafts. To ensure precise calculations that match your hydrostatic data with your load line data, you can use the SEND-INSERT function to send or insert the desired data into the table, regardless of the intervals or order. This ensures that the load line data and hydrostatic data (e.g., Displacements/Drafts) match down to the smallest decimal. - Added Auto Generate of Drafts in Data Sheet based on the Summer Draft and FWA only. Tank Sheets (Sounding-Initial & Sounding-Final): - Added Tank Data Status. This feature ensures that the Sounding Table is correctly set up for each tank. It helps you easily identify and rectify any issues if a tank sheet or sounding table is not set up correctly. - Revised all the formulas to allow to calculate unequal interval of soundings. - Rectified error in older version when calculating using combination correction with primary and secondary means of correction particularly to the "TRIM AS SOUND. & HEEL AS VOL." at a certain soundings. Trimming: - Added Trimming at One End. This utility assists in calculating how to trim the vessel while keeping one end constant (Forward or Aft), either by the required weight to load or by the required draft. It automatically calculates where and how much to load or discharge in a specific compartment based on the parameters entered. This ensures that the draft at the Forward or Aft end remains constant during trimming using one compartment. - Added Desired Draft & Trim at Disport. When all voyage deductibles/intakes have been identified and entered into the Compartment section, this worksheet will aid in computing the trimming cargo figures per selected compartments at the load port to achieve the desired draft or trim at the discharge port. You can choose from three cases, depending on your situation: * Case 1: Desired Draft and Trim at Discharge Port Based on Remaining Cargo in Load Port * Case 2: Desired Trim at Discharge Port Based on the Desired Mean Draft in Load Port * Case 3: Desired Mean Draft and Trim at Discharge Port This feature ensures precise calculations to meet your specific requirements at the discharge port. Deadweight Calculations: -Added DEADWEIGHT CALCULATION BY LOAD LINE ZONE. When all parameters have been set and voyage data and variables have been entered, this worksheet will help you compute the MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE CARGO at the LOAD PORT, DISCHARG POR, or any point during the voyage. It ensures compliance with Load Line Rules by not exceeding the draft, displacement, or deadweight limits of your ship per the Load Line Zone you will pass through during your voyage. - Added DEADWEIGHT CALC BY DESIRED DRAFT AT LOAD PORT OR DESTINATION. When all parameters have been set and voyage data and variables have been entered, this worksheet will help you compute the maximum allowable cargo at the Load Port or Discharge Port based on the desired Draft and their Water Density while it ensures compliance with Load Line Rules by not exceeding the draft, displacement, or deadweight limits of your ship per the Load Line Zone you will pass through during your voyage. Online Function: - Added new Online Help Function. This will provide users with the latest SmartCAL-Load online tutorials and materials like YouTube, Facebook, Microsoft Sway, PDF and etc. The content will be automatically updated upon open this form when the device is connected to the internet. - Added feature to automatically check if their is a latest update release available in smartcalworx.com if the device is connected to the internet. The notification will show in Home Menu just above the version number of SmartCAL-Load. Issues resolved from previous version: - Resolved issue with Quick Trimming when launching the userform if the existing data in the userform (cargo hold number) has no LCG value in Data Sheet. - Resolved issue with incorrect display of 1st and 2nd Trim Correction in SmartCAL-Load for Mobile Devices Version.
